Winterfest Event - In Game Music
Move aside Mariah! Predecessor is here for the festive period with Winterfest. The whole game has had a festive overhaul including a frozen map, new wintery skins and a brand new soundtrack composed by me! Our spin on Carol of the Bells collides with Predecessor’s iconic motif to blend into an energetic and heroic soundtrack to drive everyone to the battlefield.
Here is just a small taste but if you want to experience the full thing, download Predecessor and get to battle!
Predecessor - Undertow Skins Reveal Trailer
I was delighted to get in the pirate mood and write some music for this thrilling trailer showcasing the new skin line for Omeda Studio’s Predecessor.
Once I had worked with the cinematic team and composed the music, I then sound designed the trailer and mixed it ready for the big reveal!
Sit back, Grab some Grog and enjoy!

Reborn: A Pangur Ban Story - Sound Design & Music
Reborn: A Pangur Ban Story
This project was part of a 5-week Game Jam and was inspired by a 9th century Irish poem written about a white cat.
I worked with another sound designer on this project and we made sure we recorded real life cats, atmos, church bells and every other sound used. We even recorded impulse responses for reverbs. We also recorded, edited and implemented the dialogue for the game ourselves.
I also wrote and recorded the music for this game using as many traditional Irish instruments as possible. The music is interactive, not only following gameplay progression but also introducing instrumental layers as items are collected in game. In world items also affect the music, for example: an organ stem coming in as the player approaches a church organ.
This project is currently ongoing and I cant wait to show off more!
Gundam: Absolute Zero - Sound Design & Music
Gundam: Absolute Zero
I was specifically asked to make the audio feel like an “old school arcade” on this ‘PS1 graphics‘ style project. Becuase of limitations we worked with the in engine audio system in Godot to create this.
Around 90% of the sounds were born on my Korg Minilogue XD and later edited in pro tools, with the remaining audio being made from slapping business cards and even squeezing a room temperature ice pack.
The music was made to feel fast-paced, futuristic and fun. I had even used my voice through a talk box to sound like a “speak n spell”.
All in all, really happy with how this turned out and it is was huge amount of fun to make.
Cursed Boombox - Sound Design & Music
Cursed Boombox
I was brought on to this rhythm based horror game to create immersive sound design.
The game was designed to feel like typical 80s style horror so naturally I followed suit and got to work. For example by creating strange synth patches to emphasise the ominous presence following the player.
I then accompanied this with some 80s style rock music so the player can walk to the beat and gain some ground on the monster chasing them!
This project was limited to a week of development from conception to delivery. With a team of just 3 people including myself, it was a really fun challenge and we are delighted with the result!
